STRATFORD, Sept. 17, 2025 — The Stratford Volunteer Fire Company, alongside the Toko Brigade, took advantage of a rare training opportunity last week when they were provided access to a house slated for demolition.
The structure was outfitted with obstacles and a smoke machine to simulate the difficult and physically demanding conditions firefighters face when entering a burning building with breathing apparatus (BA).
“Although not the real thing, it’s as close as we can get it, and we’re grateful for this opportunity,” the company said.
