Excavator fire quickly extinguished in West Sunbury

WEST SUNBURY, Pa. (Monday, Sept. 1) — Firefighters in West Sunbury responded Monday night after an excavator caught fire in a field, officials said.
Crews arrived just after 9 p.m. and extinguished the blaze within six minutes. Brush 25, Engine 25, Tanker 25 and Chief 25 all responded with personnel.
Unionville Fire Department also sent an engine to assist.
