Deer Rescued from Soccer Net by Mendham Firefighters

18 September 2025 - The Mendham Fire Department was called in by the Mendham Borough Police Department for an unusual rescue — a deer caught in a soccer net at Mountain View School. Rescue 5 responded to the scene, where firefighters carefully worked to free the animal. The deer was safely released back into the wild, turning a routine call into a successful wildlife rescue.
