Millville, N.J, — September 24—  At 9:34 a.m. today, Millville Volunteer Fire Company, Inc. (MVFC) and supporting units responded to a multi-residential fire in the Bethany Breeze neighborhood. The original report revealed smoke coming from one of the units, which was thought to be a kitchen fire.

Firefighters arrived to discover visible smoke coming from the unit where cooking was taking place. The fire appears to have begun in a cooking appliance before spreading to other cupboards and wall surfaces. Responders used a concerted effort to restrict the fire in the kitchen and keep it from spreading to the upper floor.

No residents were injured, and all occupants were accounted for. Crews from Bethany Beach Volunteer Fire Company, Frankford Volunteer Fire Company, Roxana Volunteer Fire Company, and Dagsboro Volunteer Fire Department joined in the response.
