Bridgeton, New Jersey — August 18, 2025 Upper Deerfield Fire Department's Station 33, in collaboration with its Search and Rescue (UDSAR) team, successfully conducted a search operation in Bridgeton City for a missing and potentially suicidal individual.
The call arrived just after 2:30 a.m. K9 Zena, a certified search dog, was sent in 20 minutes and began tracking with a scent article. The trail wound across gravel walks and tiny trails until ending near a roadside pool of blood, indicating that the subject had entered a car.
Shortly after, a sighting was recorded near the Bridgeton Police Department, when the person was observed exiting a cab. This information helped responders narrow the search area. Drones and patrol units provided further support, and K9s Maverick and Hank joined the effort. Clues discovered throughout the search, including a knife, led authorities closer to the subject's whereabouts. Bridgeton Police eventually discovered the individual, who was found safe and transferred for medical assessment.
