September 21, 2025 — On Sunday, more than 170 participants gathered at Mirabito Stadium for the 15th Annual Binghamton Fire 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb, paying tribute to the 343 firefighters who lost their lives on September 11, 2001.
Climbers ascended the stadium steps in remembrance of the sacrifices made by New York City firefighters, symbolically retracing the courage it took to climb the towers that day.
The event raised over $8,000 for the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation, helping to provide support for families of fallen firefighters and to promote programs that honor their legacy.
Organizers expressed gratitude to all who climbed, volunteered, and supported the memorial event, reaffirming the community’s promise to “Never Forget.”
