August 31, 2025 — The Coeymans Hollow Volunteer Fire Corp. (CHVFC) responded Sunday afternoon to a motorcycle accident on Starr Road, just south of Thompkins Road.

First-arriving unit Car 6-01, led by Chief Daniel Haight, located the rider suffering from severe leg pain after reportedly being cut off in the intersection. Ravena Rescue Squad and an Albany County medic quickly arrived to provide patient care before transport.

CHVFC units remained on scene to assist EMS crews and manage traffic until the roadway was cleared. Responding units included Car 6-01, Car 6-02, and Rescue 6-40. Law enforcement agencies, including the Albany County Sheriff’s Office EMS Division, Albany County Sheriff’s Office, and Coeymans Police, also assisted at the scene.

Officials used the opportunity to remind drivers to remain alert for motorcycles, emphasizing that extra caution and awareness can prevent serious accidents and save lives.
