Midway firefighters free driver after rollover crash in Buckingham

BUCKINGHAM, Pa. (Saturday, Sept. 20) — Firefighters extricated a driver from a car that overturned multiple times and landed on its roof Saturday afternoon in Buckingham, officials said.
The crash was reported at 12:16 p.m. near Hansel Park at Durham and Holicong roads. Crews arrived to find the vehicle’s lone occupant trapped inside with injuries. Midway Fire’s Rescue 5 and Engine 15-1 stabilized the vehicle with Res-Q-Jacks, removed the driver-side doors, and helped Central Bucks EMS transfer the patient to a trauma center.
Additional support came from Engine 5, Rescue 19 and fire police from multiple stations. Crews remained on scene until the vehicle was uprighted and the roadway cleared, with all units returning to service around 1:30 p.m.
Earlier in the day, Midway firefighters assisted EMS at 8:32 a.m. in the township with a reported medical emergency involving a young male not breathing.
