Pattenburg, N.J-Sept 6: A Level 2 box alarm for smoke in a residence prompted the Pattenburg Volunteer Fire Company, Station 25 of Union Township, NJ, to respond to Bloomsbury. Additionally responding were units from Bloomsbury Fire, Station 98 (Stewartsville), and Station 57 (Franklin Township) on Saturday.

When firefighters got there, they discovered smoke and a burning smell inside the house. In order to find the source, crews from several stations coordinated their searches, looking through walls, mechanical components, and interior rooms. Following the search, the cause was determined to be a burned wire that had heated up and released odors and smoke. There was no evidence of a fire extension. All units were cleared shortly after the problem was resolved.
