WEST READING, Pa. (Tuesday, Sept. 3) — Firefighters with the West Reading Fire Department held a vehicle rescue training drill this week, practicing extrication techniques with hydraulic tools.
Members trained with the HURST eDRAULIC tools carried on Engine 64, learning the importance of each device along with cribbing and strutting a vehicle during an extrication.
The department noted it responds to numerous vehicle accidents each year where extrication may be required. V&M Towing donated vehicles for the exercise.
