Newburgh FD responded to a report of smoke coming from the roof at 462 Libert Street on September 24th. Command arrived and requested a 

Second Alarm be sounded. Mutual Aid to scene Air Gurad-Pumper West Point Ladder-Firefighters had hard time entering the attic area once inside 

they knocked fire down and checked for extensions. Mutual Aid arrived and help check second floor for extensions and releived manpower.

Ladder truck had ladder position on roof and was gaining entry from there. City/Newburgh Police was at scene redirecting traffic off Liberty Street. Deputy 

Orange County Fire Coordinator 36-13 was at scene. Origin and Cause was called in to investigate. Fire is under investigation.
