Morning House Fire Draws Mutual Aid to Victor

Firefighters from several Ontario and Monroe County departments responded to a residential structure fire on Murphy Road, bringing additional apparatus and personnel into Victor for the morning operation.
The fire was reported around 7 a.m. on Saturday, September 5, 2026, in Victor, New York. Victor Fire Department responded with assistance from Bushnell’s Basin Fire Department, Farmington Fire Department and the City of Canandaigua Fire Department.
Firefighters conducted a primary search of the residence during the initial attack and confirmed that no one was inside. Crews then continued suppression operations at the residence.
The incident marked Victor firefighters’ second residential structure fire response in three days. Two days earlier, Victor, Bushnell’s Basin and Farmington crews operated at a separate house fire involving an attached garage and exposure concerns at a neighboring residence.
No injuries were reported in connection with the Murphy Road fire. The cause remained under investigation.
