EARL TOWNSHIP, Pa. (Monday, Sept. 15) — Firefighters freed a trapped occupant Monday afternoon after a two-vehicle crash at Ironstone Drive and Willow Road left two people injured, officials said.
The crash was reported around 4:40 p.m., with multiple calls noting possible entrapment. Captain 95 confirmed one patient was trapped, and Assistant 19 established command.
Attack 19 arrived and used hydraulic tools to remove a door while EMS attended to both patients. Crews from Attack 19, Engine 19 and Rescue 95 completed the extrication and transferred patients to medics for transport.
Fire police from three companies closed the roadway during the response. State police investigated, and tow companies cleared the vehicles. The road reopened by 6 p.m.
