Motorcyclist airlifted after crash on Hickory Hill Road

SAXTON, Pa. (Sunday, Sept. 7) — Fire and EMS crews responded Saturday evening to a motorcycle crash on Hickory Hill Road that left one rider injured, officials said.

Saxton Volunteer Fire Company’s Rescue 35 and 17 were dispatched along with EMS 15. Upon arrival, Captain 35-3 assumed command and found the rider along the highway. EMS 15 conducted an assessment and requested an aeromedical helicopter.

Rescue 35 handled landing zone operations for Stat MedEvac, while HALAS EMS assisted EMS 15 with patient care. Rescue 17 managed traffic control at the scene.
