The 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb is a nationwide tribute held in honor of the 343 firefighters who lost their lives on September 11, 2001. During the event, participants climb the equivalent of 110 stories—the height of the World Trade Center—as a symbol of remembrance.
This year, Captain Robert Stack and Firefighter Matthew Benn represented their department in the challenge. Dressed in full turnout gear, they climbed **92 flights of stairs—2,200 steps over the course of 1.5 hours—**to pay their respects to the fallen heroes.
The department proudly recognizes their dedication and stands in solemn remembrance: May we never forget.
