One Transported After Collision Resulting in Vehicle Fire

(OCALA, Fla.) Sept. 22, 2020 - Ocala Fire Rescue responded to a collision that resulted in a vehicle fire on NW Blitchton Road, just west of I-75.
At 6:33 p.m. Engine 3 and Rescue 3 arrived on scene to find an unoccupied vehicle with a front compartment engulfed in flames on the road, and a second vehicle parked in a Chevron gas station behind.
Using the fire engine’s jump line, crews extinguished the flames. The driver of the vehicle that caught fire was transported to the hospital.
No one in the second vehicle had injuries to report.
Law enforcement and Marion County Fire Rescue also responded.
