Midnight Response: Rock Hill Fire Bolsters Woodridge Firefighters at Working Structure Fire

Rock Hill, NY - Volunteer firefighters and apparatus from the Rock Hill Fire Department deployed into neighboring Woodridge late Tuesday night, providing vital interior manpower and water supply during an active structure fire in eastern Sullivan County.

At 11:47 p.m. on September 1, the Rock Hill Fire Department was dispatched on a mutual aid request to assist the Woodridge Fire Department with a confirmed working structure fire.

Rock Hill responded with an engine company, a water tanker, and a dedicated team of interior-qualified firefighters. Upon arriving on the fireground, Rock Hill personnel integrated into forward operating sectors, working alongside Woodridge attack teams to suppress active fire, ventilate the building, and conduct extensive overhaul operations to search for hidden hotspots within structural voids.

Crews operated on the fireground for over three hours, bringing the blaze under full control before returning to service at approximately 3:00 a.m.

Rock Hill department leadership extended gratitude to their volunteers for turning out in the middle of the night to deliver critical resources, equipment, and frontline manpower in support of their neighboring district. No injuries were reported.
