Roseland, N.J — Sept. 21: Roseland Volunteer Fire Department members spent the weekend involved in several community events and responded to two fire alarms.
The department participated in the annual Bonfire & Movie Night on Friday night, with Engine 661 on duty. Residents gathered for the evening at Roseland, where Engine 661 served as part of the event support detail.
Saturday's schedule was busy. Members of Engine 662 assisted with crowd management, safety presence, and public interaction at the Greek Festival earlier in the day. Later, the Caldwell Fire Department performed a "wet down" ceremony, during which Roseland's Engine 661 and Engine 662 participated in the traditional spraying of the new tower ladder, newly designated Tower Ladder 526.
In addition to these community engagements, the department also responded to two separate fire alarm activations over the weekend.
