WEST DEER, Pa. (Tuesday, Sept. 2) — Firefighters responded to a crash Tuesday after a vehicle struck trees and caught fire near Middle Road and Steeplechase, officials said.
The vehicle was fully engulfed when West Deer Volunteer Fire Company Chief 290 arrived. The driver was able to escape and declined treatment, reporting the vehicle had lost power and brakes before the crash.
Units from Stations 290, 289, 288 and 172 operated at the scene.
