Overnight Crash and School Fire Alarm Keep Wyckoff Firefighters Busy

The Wyckoff Fire Department responded to a motor vehicle crash involving an overturned car on Wyckoff Avenue. Crews quickly secured both the scene and the vehicle while awaiting the arrival of the tow company.
A short time later, firefighters were dispatched to Eisenhower Middle School for an activated fire alarm. Upon arrival, they discovered a burning odor and a light haze inside the building. After a thorough investigation, crews located a burning light fixture ballast, secured the unit, and ventilated the school.
The incidents highlighted strong teamwork and coordination among all responding members.
