Monmouth Junction, N.J.— September 17— The Monmouth Junction Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched to Monroe Township as mutual aid on Sept. 17 at about 1:20 a.m. for a structure fire at the Forsgate Country Club in District 3.

Engine 206 responded with a crew of five, who assisted in suppression operations. The unit remained on scene until about 4:30 a.m., when they were released by command.

The fire damaged the golf course’s maintenance building, which contained equipment including rollers, mowers and sprayers. No injuries were reported, and the clubhouse and banquet halls at Forsgate were not affected.

The Monroe Township Volunteer Fire Company No. 1 (Station 51) and Monroe Township Firefighters Local 3170 also operated at the scene.

Authorities said nothing suspicious was immediately apparent, but the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
