On the morning of September 4, 2025, Engine 2, Ladder 1, LE-7, 8, and 9, along with the Bergen County Haz-Mat Team, responded to the Mt. Zion Baptist Church on Schor Avenue for a reported gasoline odor. Upon arrival, crews discovered that a 275-gallon oil tank had leaked in the basement. LFD personnel applied absorbent material to the spill and conducted ventilation, while Bergen County Haz-Mat remained on scene until an oil tank company arrived to pump out the remaining product. Units operated for just under two hours before clearing the scene.
