SOUTH PARK TOWNSHIP, Pa. (Wednesday, Sept. 3) — Firefighters and EMS crews responded Wednesday afternoon to a motorcycle crash near Brownsville Road and East Park Drive, officials said.

Broughton Volunteer Fire Department’s Chief 270 arrived to find the rider injured in rough terrain. Engine 270 assisted EMS with patient packaging.

A medical helicopter was requested but later canceled due to an extended estimated arrival time. The patient was transported by EMS to a local trauma center.

Fire crews remained on scene to assist with traffic control and lighting. The SHACOG Crash Reconstruction Team was requested to support South Park Township police in the investigation.
