Students meet first responders at South Park Elementary Hero Day

SOUTH PARK TWP., Pa. (Thursday, Sept. 11) — Firefighters from Broughton Volunteer Fire Department joined police and EMS crews Thursday at South Park Elementary Center for the school’s annual Hero Day.
Students learned about the role of each emergency service and explored equipment from fire, EMS and police vehicles.
Agencies taking part included the Library Volunteer Fire Company, South Park Township Police Department, Allegheny County Police Department, Tri-Community South EMS and the Pennsylvania Office of Attorney General.
