SOUTH PARK TOWNSHIP, Pa. (Friday, Sept. 12) — Multiple fire companies responded Friday night to a house fire on Downing Street in South Park Township that spread to a neighboring home, officials said.

Dispatchers received several 911 calls reporting the blaze. A second alarm was requested, bringing additional departments and rehab units to the scene.

Broughton firefighters and assisting crews placed ladders, attacked flames on the second floor, and worked to protect the neighboring structure. Extensive overhaul was performed to check for hot spots.

No injuries were reported. The cause remains under investigation by the Allegheny County Fire Marshal’s Office.
