Oaklyn units assist in exterior operations during two-alarm fire

Oaklyn, N.J. —September 6— On the morning of September 6, Oaklyn Fire Department units responded to a two-alarm building fire on Route 130 in West Collingswood Heights.
Chief 18 arrived to find fire and smoke showing. Ladder 18 was raised, and its ladder pipe was placed in service for elevated suppression. A second alarm was struck, bringing additional units. Ladder 18 maintained exterior operations while Chief 18 managed command.
The cause of the fire and any injuries have not been reported. Ladder 18 and Chief 18 remained at the scene for around two hours, according to the department.
