Marmora, N.J — August 29 — The Marmora Volunteer Fire Company was dispatched to a structure fire at about 11:28 p.m. last night. Tower 1550 responded along with a Deputy Chief and a Safety Officer, while the Upper Township Division of EMS arrived with a BLS ambulance and a rehab unit..
When units arrived, Engine 1 discovered a large fire in the attic space on the C/D corner of the building. That engine quickly began suppressing the fire. Truck 1 and Engine 3 also responded to help contain the flames.
Firefighters focused on getting to the attic fire and preventing it from spreading. They looked for potential sources of fire and ensured that it did not spread to other parts of the structure. They were able to put an end to future fire spread thanks to their quick deployment and coordinated efforts.
No injuries were reported, and all occupants and responders were safe.
