Bogota Fire Department Honors Lt. Joe DiMauro Sr. on Retirement

At Engine Company 1 meeting, members celebrated the retirement of Ex-Chief and current Lieutenant Joe DiMauro Sr. Following his retirement, DiMauro will be relocating to North Carolina.


DiMauro has been a dedicated member of the Bogota Fire Department since 1999. Prior to joining Bogota, he served with the Fairview Fire Department for nearly 20 years. In recent years, he also contributed his service to the Palisades Park Fire Department.


During his tenure with the BFD, DiMauro held every firematic position, ultimately serving as Chief of Department in 2017. His commitment and leadership have left a lasting impact on Engine Company 1, the Bogota Fire Department as a whole, and the community of Bogota.


The department extends its gratitude to Lt. DiMauro for his decades of service and dedication, and wishes him the very best in his retirement.
