CRANFORD, N.J. (Sept. 11, 2025) — Cranford firefighters extinguished a fire on the train tracks Thursday afternoon, temporarily halting rail traffic in the area, officials said.
Union County dispatchers stopped all trains so crews could safely operate on the tracks. Traffic resumed once the fire was out.
