Springfield, Summit firefighters train in acquired structure

SPRINGFIELD, N.J. (Sept. 19, 2025) — Firefighters from Springfield and Summit are training this week and next in an acquired structure on Mountain Avenue, practicing key firefighting skills.
The exercises include roof venting, forcible entry, wall breaching and other tasks performed during fire operations, officials said.
The building was made available for training by Congregation Israel of Springfield.
