RARITAN TOWNSHIP, N.J. (Sept. 15, 2025) — Firefighters in Raritan Township responded Tuesday to multiple calls, including a smoke condition at a local business and an industrial accident at a construction site.
The first incident involved a fire alarm where arriving crews found smoke inside the building. The source was traced to a faulty HVAC unit on the roof. Squad 33 from the Three Bridges Volunteer Fire Company assisted at the scene.
Later, firefighters worked with Flemington-Raritan First Aid and Rescue Squad at a construction site where a front-end loader had overturned. Crews spent several hours assisting a tow company in uprighting the heavy machinery while also providing fire suppression coverage, hazmat mitigation and traffic control.
