COLUMBIA, N.J. (Sept. 9, 2025) — Firefighters from Knowlton Township Fire and Rescue Company No. 1 and Blairstown Hose Company held a joint training Tuesday evening at H & S Enterprises on Route 94.

Using inert training smoke, crews practiced laddering a two-story building and conducting search operations for simulated victims.

Officials noted that firefighters carry nearly 80 pounds of protective gear and equipment during such drills, adding to the physical demands of the training.
