COLUMBIA, N.J. (Sept. 16, 2025) — Knowlton Township Fire and Rescue Company #1 conducted a training drill Tuesday night simulating a kitchen exhaust fire at the Clover Rest Home.
Engine 41-63 laid a five-inch supply line from the Delaware River, connected to the building’s sprinkler system and stretched hand lines as part of the exercise. Tanker 41-71 acted as a nurse tanker, supplying 4,000 gallons of water to the attack engine.
Officials said the preplan can be modified and applied to other buildings in the Village of Columbia.
