RIDGEWOOD, N.J. (Sept. 7, 2025) — Ridgewood firefighters responded Sunday morning to a utility wire fire near Linwood Avenue and Collingwood Place, officials said.
The area was secured while crews awaited PSE&G to shut down power and make repairs. Drivers were advised to expect detours and possible temporary outages.
Fire officials reminded residents and visitors never to approach or touch wires, even if they appear inactive, and urged anyone encountering downed wires to call 911.
