Oceanport Firefighters Contain Construction Site Blaze with Mutual Aid Support

On Monday, August 25, at approximately 3:00 p.m., the Oceanport Fire Department responded to a fire at a commercial property under construction. Firefighters arrived to find active fire conditions and immediately initiated suppression operations.
Mutual aid companies from neighboring municipalities assisted on scene, and through coordinated efforts, the fire was brought under control in about one hour. No injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation. Officials expressed appreciation to all mutual aid partners for their support in ensuring a safe and efficient response.
