Evesham, N.J. —August 30 — Evesham Fire-Rescue responded to a fire at a salon and spa at a Marlton shopping area on August 30th afternoon. On arrival, the crews came across a small fire in a massage treatment room.

The building's sprinkler system had already started preventing the fire from spreading. Only one sprinkler head activated, keeping the fire in place until firemen finished extinguishing it and assessed the structure for safety.

One minor injury was reported. Because the fire was quickly controlled, damage was limited to the treatment room, and other businesses in the shopping center were able to reopen once the sprinkler system was restored.

According to Evesham Fire-Rescue, the incident demonstrates how well-maintained sprinkler systems protect both persons and property.
