September 4, 2025 — Just before 7:00 p.m. Thursday, Battalion 82 and Squad 88 from the Chews Landing Fire Department responded to reports of a garage fire in Glendora.
Tower Engine 81 arrived first due and found smoke and fire showing from the attached garage, prompting the request for a Working Fire Box. Chief 7 arrived moments later and upgraded the response to an All Hands.
Squad 88, arriving second due, secured its own water supply and stretched a handline to the rear of the structure to initiate fire attack. Thanks to the coordinated efforts of all responding crews, the fire was quickly brought under control.
No injuries were reported, and the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
