Cherry Hill FD Promotes Shaun Ferguson

The Cherry Hill Fire Department proudly announced the promotion of Shaun M. Ferguson to Lieutenant during a ceremony attended by family, friends, and colleagues.

Lieutenant Ferguson, a graduate of Fire Academy Class 16-24, previously served on Squad 13/Hazmat 13, C Platoon before earning his promotion. He holds advanced certifications as a Fire Officer II, Fire Instructor II, Incident Safety Officer, Hazmat Technician, and Rope, Collapse, and Trench Rescue Technician.

Ferguson plays a key role in department training and development, serving as a lead member of the CHFD Mental Performance Team and an instructor with Leadership Under Fire. He is also part of the Recruit Academy Command Staff and contributes as a Fire Instructor in Mental Performance, Engine Company Operations, Hazardous Materials Response, and is a member of the Honor Guard Committee.

Outside the fire service, Ferguson is pursuing studies at the Community College of the Air Force and brings a decade of experience from the New Jersey Air National Guard, where he served both domestically and abroad.

He was joined at the ceremony by his wife, Kasey, daughters Ellie and Isla, and parents Bill and Janet Ferguson. The Office of the Fire Chief and the Cherry Hill Board of Fire Commissioners congratulated Lieutenant Ferguson and expressed their confidence in his leadership as he takes on this new role.
