September 6, 2025 — The Brooklawn Fire Company reported 10 calls for service in August 2025, including three cardiac arrests, two alarm activations, one vehicle fire, one lockout, one carbon monoxide alarm, one motor vehicle accident, one dwelling fire, and one EMS assist.

Members conducted a monthly drill focused on the power tools carried on company apparatus and spent recent weeks painting the apparatus floor to improve station readiness.

The department is seeking new volunteers. Interested residents may message the company’s page or stop by the station on the second Tuesday of each month to learn more.
