September 1, 2025 — Just before 2:00 p.m. on Monday, the Audubon Park Fire Company Chief and Engine 19 were dispatched to Oaklyn for a reported dwelling fire.
Upon arrival, Assistant Chief 18 observed smoke coming from the home, prompting the working fire box to be struck. Engine 19, under the command of Captain Wyatt, responded with five volunteers and was tasked with opening knee walls and extinguishing remaining hot spots on the second floor.
Once their assignment was completed, Engine 19 returned to quarters and remained ready for additional calls. Fire officials commended all crews on scene for their coordinated efforts and quick action in containing the fire.
