September 1, 2025 — On Monday afternoon, Taskforce 18 was dispatched to the 1000 block of Maple Avenue for a reported dwelling fire.
Squad 1 and Ladder 18 arrived simultaneously to find heavy smoke and fire on the first floor, with flames extending to the second floor. Firefighters initiated a coordinated attack using two handlines while conducting a primary search of the home.
The fire was brought under control within 30 minutes, preventing further damage to the property. No injuries were reported, and the cause of the fire is under investigation by local fire officials.
