After a short summer break, the Berlin Fire Company #1 has resumed its weekly Tuesday night training drills to keep skills sharp and ensure the community’s safety.
Much like students returning to school, the department’s volunteer firefighters are revisiting core techniques, with a focus on welcoming and training new drivers and pump operators.
Residents may notice crews around town practicing hydrant operations, running pump drills, and working to improve response times.
The department encourages the community to wave if they see firefighters training on Tuesday evenings — a reminder that neighbors are preparing to protect neighbors.
