Rio Grande firefighters win multiple awards at state parade

RIO GRANDE, N.J. (Sept. 15, 2025) — The Rio Grande Volunteer Fire Company brought home several top honors at the New Jersey State Firefighters Memorial Parade.
The department earned first place state trophies for best appearing rescue pumper, squirt/quint, 1950s antique, and comedy routine.
Within Cape May County, Rio Grande received awards for best appearing fire apparatus and best overall fire company.
