WILDWOOD, N.J. (Sept. 13, 2025) — The Deptford Fire Department brought home 14 trophies Saturday at the New Jersey State Firemen’s Convention, including top awards for its cadets, firefighters and marching units.

The cadet post won Best Appearing Cadet Post in the state, while the department earned the President’s Cup for Best Overall Department. Firefighters also received the award for Best Overall Marching Department.

Additional honors included Best in State for the Honor Guard, Best Appearing Pumper in its category for Engine 933, and second place for Chief 930’s command vehicle.

About 50 firefighters and their families gathered after the parade for a catered meal before attending the awards ceremony.
