Salem Fire Extinguishes Logging Equipment Fire

On September 5, 2025 morning, Salem Fire & Rescue responded to a vehicle fire involving a piece of logging equipment. Upon arrival, the equipment was fully engulfed in flames and could not be saved.
Firefighters used approximately 1,500 gallons of water to extinguish the fire and successfully contained it, preventing spread into the surrounding wood line.
