Train Car Fire Contained at Ridgefield CSX Rail Yard

The Ridgefield Fire Department responded to a reported train car fire at the CSX Rail Yard, located at 2100 83rd Street, at approximately 3:25 p.m.
Upon arrival, firefighters discovered a train car filled with construction debris that was smoldering. The fire remained contained within the car.
RF-Ladder 1 deployed its aerial device to flood the car until the smoldering was fully extinguished.
The incident was brought under control within two hours, and all units returned to service.
