The Newton Fire Department’s Engine/Tender 1 provided standby coverage alongside Paterson Engine 2 on Tuesday as the city dealt with the impacts of a major water main break.
The assignment ensured that fire protection and emergency response capabilities remained in place while Paterson crews worked to address the infrastructure issue. Newton firefighters expressed gratitude to their Paterson colleagues for their hospitality during the operation.
