Truck fire closes stretch of I-295 in Ewing

EWING, N.J. (Sept. 11, 2025) — Firefighters from West Trenton and neighboring departments brought a truck fire under control Thursday after flames spread to a hillside along Interstate 295.
Crews from Station 30 and the airport’s ARFF Engine 34 joined West Trenton volunteers in the response. Firefighters arrived to find the truck fully involved, officials said.
The fire was contained through coordinated efforts of all responding units.
