PENNINGTON, N.J. (Sept. 1, 2025) — A house fire with possible entrapment drew a large mutual aid response early Monday on Dublin Road near Morningside Drive, officials said.

Hopewell Valley emergency units were dispatched at about 2:12 a.m. First-due crews encountered heavy fire conditions, and Engine 51 began an initial fire attack while Chief 51 assumed command. A first alarm was struck, followed by a second alarm tanker task force.

Search and rescue crews conducted a primary search, but evacuation tones were ordered at 2:39 a.m. as conditions worsened. Firefighters shifted to defensive operations.

The blaze was brought under control at 4:50 a.m.
