Structure Fire on North 2nd Street Quickly Contained, No Injuries Reported

On August 26th, at approximately 4:30 p.m., Battalion 3, under the command of Battalion Chief Moran, responded to a structure fire on North 2nd Street in Pleasantville.


Firefighters arrived to find flames on the exterior of a two-story residential home that was occupied at the time. Crews acted quickly, containing the fire, saving the structure, and ensuring that all occupants were safely evacuated and accounted for.


The fire was brought under control within 30 minutes. No injuries were reported among residents or firefighters.


The Pleasantville Police Department assisted with traffic control, while mutual aid was provided by the Linwood and Northfield Fire Departments.


The cause of the fire remains under investigation. Authorities commended the swift teamwork of firefighters, mutual aid partners, and Pleasantville Police in protecting the community.
